Vialli was raised at Cremona’s 60-room Castello di Belgioioso alongside his four siblings. He is said to be the son of a self-made millionaire.

Vialli stands at a height of 1.8m tall and weighs 77kg. In his home Italy, Vialli began his club career in 1980 at Cremonese, where he made 105 league games while tallying 23 goals. Sampdoria acquired him in 1984 after being impressed by his exploits.

He went on to score 85 league goals, win three Italian championships, the Serie A, and the European Cup Winners Cup.

In more than 500 appearances over the course of his 20-year professional football career, he scored 286 goals, ranking him as the tenth-highest scorer among Italian players across all competitions, including 259 goals at the club level, 16 goals with the national team, and 11 goals with the national under-21 team.

When Vialli joined the local team Cremonese in Serie C1, he began his career and was eventually promoted to Serie B. He was moved to Sampdoria after the 1983–84 Serie B season, during which he scored 10 goals for the team.

He and Roberto Mancini, a colleague and boyhood friend, established a successful strike tandem at Sampdoria, earning the moniker “The Goal Twins.” Sampdoria enjoyed its most prosperous period in history while Vialli was performing at his peak.

Vialli joined Juventus soon after the 1992 European Cup final defeat for a then-record £ 12.5 million transfer price. Playing under manager Giovanni Trapattoni alongside players like Roberto Baggio, Pierluigi Casiraghi, Paolo Di Canio, and Andreas Möller, among others, Vialli won the UEFA Cup in his debut season with Juventus.

In the summer of 1996, Vialli joined Chelsea on a free transfer as part of the team’s rebuilding under manager Ruud Gullit. Because of his command of the English language and his use of English idioms, Vialli rapidly adjusted to life in London. In Vialli’s debut season, the squad won the FA Cup, with the Italian scoring twice in a comeback victory over Liverpool (4-2) in the fourth round.

In February 1998, Gullit was fired as Chelsea manager, and 33-year-old Vialli was named player-manager, becoming the first Italian to hold the position in the Premier League.

Under Vialli, Chelsea advanced to both the semifinals of the League Cup and the quarterfinals of the European Cup Winners’ Cup in addition to finishing fourth in the Premier League.

Vialli, who was 33 years old and 308 days old, beat VfB Stuttgart in the Cup Winners’ Cup final on May 13, 1998, to become the organization’s youngest manager to ever take home the trophy. The record remained in place for thirteen years until FC Porto’s André Villas-Boas, who was 33 years and 213 days old at the time, won the Europa League on May 18, 2011.

At the conclusion of that season, Vialli made his final competitive appearance for the team against Derby County, capping an 83-appearance, 40-goal career for Chelsea.

Chelsea made their UEFA Champions League debut the following year, making it all the way to the quarterfinals. Following a 5-1 loss in the return leg at Camp Nou after extra time, they were ultimately eliminated 4-6 on aggregate despite defeating Barcelona 3-1 in the first leg.

With Chelsea defeating Manchester United to win the Charity Shield, Vialli won his fifth official trophy with the team in less than three years, giving him the club’s most successful manager at the time. The 2000–01 season got off to a strong start.

Then, in 2001–2002, Vialli accepted a job offer to lead First Division team Watford. Vialli was fired after one year because the Hertfordshire team finished in a dismal 14th place after making extensive and expensive changes to the playing and coaching staff. After that, he and the club got into a protracted argument over who would pay for the balance of his contract.

Who are Gianluca Vialli’s parents?

Vialli is said to be born to a self-made millionaire who lived in 60-room Castello di Belgioioso in Cremona. His name and that of his wife is not known to us at the moment.
