Sabeh Alalkawi Died In Deadly Police Car Crash In Region

Just before one in the morning, an accident occurred in Rensselaer County. According to Troy Police, on Wednesday, February 22, an officer from the Troy Police Department was traveling in a civilian car while responding to a report about a domestic disturbance near Hoosick and 15th streets in Troy.

The cop, along with a few witnesses, assisted the 30-year-old driver of the other vehicle after the collision. Police say that after being transported to Samaritan Hospital, the man was later declared deceased.

At the request of the man’s family, investigators refrained from releasing the man’s identity right away.

Justin Byrnes, an officer with Troy Police, was identified as the officer engaged in the collision.
